Profile

Jeff is a 1974 graduate of the RETS Technical College in Dayton, Ohio. His schooling included all facets of the HVAC industry. Jeff worked as a Representative for a major Heating and Air Conditioning manufacturer for four years. His assignments included Sales, Service, Engineering and Application support.
In 1979, Jeff had the opportunity to become involved in the, at this time, fledgling Heat Pump Pool Heater industry. In 1981 he became one of the founding partners of Aqua Cal, Inc. Jeff’s nearly forty years in the HPPH industry has also afforded him the opportunity to be heavily involved in the Swimming Pool and Spa industry.
He was a leader and founder of the PHPMA, the Pool Heat Pump Manufacturers Association, which was formed to bring performance standards to the Heat Pump industry. The PHPMA was the staging step for the industry to join and participate in the AHRI, the leading certification of performance agency for the HVAC industry.
He has been a presenter/trainer in the industry on multiple technical subjects, mostly relating to the heat pump product category but has also served as the FSPA Energy Committee chair and technical specialist, teaching many seminars on the Florida Energy Code as it relates to the pool and spa industry.
Jeff is the Vice President at Aqua Cal AutoPilot, now a 100% Employee Owned company and continues in his leadership role with the Company.
