    Description

Filling a new or renovated pool presents different chemistry needs and challenges, depending on the type of pool being filled. Fiberglass, vinyl liners, PVC membranes and plaster/cement pools are not the same materials. This class discusses how the startup chemistry should differ with each surface type. While the LSI is universal to all pools, HOW the water should be balanced to the LSI differs in some ways. Come learn the nuances of each pool type so you can successfully get the pool open and ready for swimming.

    Tracks:

    Learning Objectives

    1. Learn the differences between cement-based finishes, fiberglass and vinyl liner pools, in terms of how the materials interact with water.
    2. Identify at least one unique trait of each pool surface type that affects how the pool chemistry should be handled
    3. Identify at least three constants that are universal to all pool surface types
