    Description

Renovation projects can look simple at the estimate stage but become complex once demolition exposes structural, hydraulic, drainage, or code-related problems. This session helps professionals evaluate existing pools with an engineering mindset before they price, design, or promise a scope of work. Attendees will explore how to separate cosmetic improvement from true rehabilitation and how to communicate those findings to clients.

    Tracks:

    Learning Objectives

    1. Identify signs that an existing pool may require structural, hydraulic, drainage, or code-related evaluation.
    2. Differentiate between cosmetic renovation, functional upgrade, and rehabilitation-level project scopes.
    3. Develop pre-renovation documentation practices that support accurate pricing and client communication.
    4. Explain how early investigation can reduce change orders, disputes, and project risk."
